The Boathouse is a waterfront restaurant and bar, specialising in seafood caught by our own boats. We’re situated overlooking the Mayflower Steps and just a stone’s throw from Plymouth’s historic Barbican.

Monday to Sunday 09:00 to 21:00
Kitchen will close at 19:30 each evening

Our Menus

At The Boathouse, we celebrate the best of the coast with a menu built around the freshest local ingredients. Our fish and shellfish are caught right on our doorstep, alongside a selection of flavourful meat, vegan, and vegetarian dishes, which are thoughtfully prepared to let the ingredients shine.

Our specials menu changes daily, inspired by the seasons and the day's catch. From mackerel and cuttlefish to sea bass, crab, and other local treasures, no two days are quite the same. What remains constant is our commitment to sustainability and freshness, bringing your dish from sea to plate within hours.

Fresh Fish Market

We're proud to offer a selection of locally caught fish and shellfish from the waters of the South West. Soon, you'll be able to take a taste of the coast home with you at our Weekend Fish Markets at The Boathouse.
